White Line Fever – The Unknown History Behind the Legendary Song “Convoy”

C.W McCall’s breakout hit, “Convoy,” was an instant sensation in the trucking world and was responsible for an all-time peak in the sale of CB radios. McCall went on to produce six albums of original music, but yet no record of anyone by that name exists outside of the music industry. So, who exactly is C.W. McCall and how did he become such a sensation?

On this episode of White Line Fever, an ongoing series looking into trucking songs in country music, our host Brad takes a deep dive into the search for the Bigfoot of Trucker Country, the elusive C.W. McCall.
